I had a rotten morning as I woke up in the middle of the night to find all the power in my flat was out. I thought it was just my flat until I glanced out of the window later after getting up and finding no hot water (meaning I had to go without a bath) and seeing a woman putting a sign outside Argos across the street. I checked the sign and it confirmed that the power was down in the whole street. I chucked out my milk and cheese from the fridge, figuring that these had gone off, and had to get breakfast in one of the nearby pubs, as anything I had that didn't need to be kept in the fridge seemed somewhat insubstantial.
The power is back on now, though - thankfully; I spent some of the afternoon moving more stuff over to the flat, after spending some of the morning cleaning. I have also purchased tickets to see Ricky Hatton and Frank Bruno!
I had a good weekend, though - the taekwon-do tournament was fun, but I didn't win anything. I almost had to pull out of the team section until someone else didn't show up and there was a place on one of the teams. I had a good time in Peterborough, and some guys started encouraging me to wave the flag I had bought in the station.
