Night out

Dec 03, 2005 14:49

Some people from work who I hardly knew were leaving yesterday, but I thought What the Hell, and went to their leaving do anyway. Not a lot of people from my department showed up, but I saw Jonny, John, Ross and Jennie. I walked down to the bar with Steve, Mark and Louise, and then spent most of the night mingling with others and talking about subjects like work and the football.

I stayed for about three hours - until 8.45pm. Then I had drunken four drinks and felt a bit drunk and staggered off home. I went to bed at eleven because I have massive trouble getting up on Saturday mornings, and today I had to go to college to sit a test.

I got an advent calendar in Woolworths, but didn't have much choice. I could have either a Batman calendar, or another Batman calendar, or yet another Batman calendar (you get the picture?) I then went to the college and was pleased to find the test was easy - and more pleased when I got 83%. I then missed the train home (really annoying) by a few minutes and had to wait, while a bunch of elderly people took over the platform because there was a chartered train to Lincoln (or "LINCLNC" as the electronic sign said), which looked really nice - beautifully laid tables on board.

I then got my hair cut and went home, and had an enjoyable few hours because Liverpool beat Wigan - and Peter Crouch scored! The score was 3-0 at the end.

work, soccer, woolworths, shopping, pubs, trains, christmas
