Angst, Angst, Angst!

Wow, Six Feet Under last night was intense...

So, first of all, we see one of the nastier death scenes - a guy in hospital who's lost both legs and one arm kills himself, then David has this freaky dream with one of the kids saying: "My face keeps falling off" - then Claire gets drunk and goes crazy in the office bathroom, leading to her getting sacked (I was like: "Stop it, don't mess your life up!" when she did that).

Promptly, Claire has a blazing row with the mother of the dead guy, and then with her boyfriend (if you can call him that), followed by another argument between David and Federico.

Then there was David and Keith rowing at the dinner table - the cinematography seemed almost surreal, and Ruth argues with Brenda over Maya (who I guess is now technically an orphan).

Peter Krause gets some nice scenes, notably with Claire at Nate's grave, before Claire was almost attacked (I was scared they were going to kill Claire off, especially when she crashed her car which she'd had since the start of the show. And then there were two very disturbing "fantasy" scenes - Ruth dreaming about touching Billy's unmentionables, and David imagining Nate rushing in and stabbing one of his kids to death. That episode was seriously messed up - oh, and David arguing with the corpse - how did they do the special effects there?

And the ending was really nice, and I liked the music - it seemed to calm me down a lot after such an angsty episode.

Today, I had to deliver more questionnaires - I got them to every shop except this one charity shop where they refused to accept it, saying they "weren't allowed". I spent more of my time on the actual train journeys. My day's been okay, other than that I seem to be having one of those days where nobody takes any notice of me when I try to join in a conversation.
