Lockdown, Day #208

Oct 17, 2020 18:20

The last touches on caulking the ceiling around my new light fitting are done, and we also managed to clear my printer jam.

I had a walk around town with the family afterwards; we walked through the notorious estate that I tend to avoid; I'd forgotten that it's actually quite nice, but its reputation is a bit offputting. I was a little put out by one man who insisted on rushing up behind us, almost breathing down our necks, but otherwise it was a nice walk, where we were able to enjoy how nice the town is.

I noticed one of the landlords inside one of his properties as we got back to the flats, meaning someone's moved out. By deduction, I have figured out that it was the couple with a kid, who I found annoying, mostly the mother using the f word in front of the kid, and the dad just being impossible to have a normal converation with; last time I tried, he just ceased to be communicative, just got weird.

I like to have neighbours, but I'd rather they were ones I can get on with.

pet peeves, dislikes, profanity, family, outdoors, technology, home, good things about home, mothers, do-overs, the neighbors, manners, rat year, weekends
