I'm ashamed to say it, but I had a meltdown around lunchtime over a very little thing; I am prone to this happening occasionally, and although I was in my flat when it happened, I've been still avoiding neighbours who I think might have heard it. When I lose control, I just stop caring who hears but after I regain my composure, I just worry about who is going to be tsk tsking at me because of how I behaved.
I feel better now; there is talk about volunteers going into the office, but there's no pressure to go back yet, and I'd like to have longer with not having to rush out of the door in the morning. Two or three days in the office when I gain confidence in using trains wouldn't be too bad, and it will be subject to booking desks.
They had books on sale for a pound in the supermarket tonight, so I bought two and put two pounds from my small change into the collection tin; I got another Charlie Parker book, but I want to read them in order so I've got three or four to get through before I reach this one. I also got a book by a Swedish writer, Mons Kallentoft, "Autumn Killing". It's the third in the series, so I'm going to religiously read through the first two as well, but hopefully the series will compare well to the Millennium books.
I had some time before putting my shopping away and having a family zoom call, so I had a walk and saw this nice sunset; of course, getting back I saw my neighbour taking her bins out and avoided her; I was afraid she'd ask about the noise coming from my flaht earlier.
It's a bit small, but it didn't take as well as I'd hoped. I also saw a fox on my walk, but a woman screamed loudly from the other side of the hedge (hopefully there wasn't a murder happening) and the fox ran away.
I estimate that I added 3.5 km to my Tour De Lockdown, taking me to about 41 km I believe.
I'm also keen to watch Nick Frost and Simon Peggs' Truth Seekers this Autumn and am going to keep my Amazon Prime subscription just to see this. I just hope they've not made each episode ridiculously long.
