Lockdown, Day #110

Jul 11, 2020 23:55

Sorry, but I'm going to have a moan.

One of the responses following George Floyd's murder is that channels are now vetting old shows for potentially offensive content, it's turned into a load of PC gone mad.

Channel 4 showed a marathon of Father Ted series 1 last night, but skipped one episode, because some of the characters blacked up for a talent show.

People, get a grip - it's like now everyone is getting super-touchy about, just about everything. It's like I've suddenly stepped into some weird satirical version of real life where people take their reactions to extremes, and are just afraid of people taking offense.

Oh, and if you disagree with the above, I suggest you GO SCREW YOURSELF YOU STUPID SNOWFLAKE

I'm going to post a picspam from tonight's walk, which ended up going a bit further than planned; it was because I didn't fancy taking the quicker route, which would have involved walking behind a man who seemed to be getting a bit twitchy, and kept stopping to look around, almost like he thought I was following him from about 300 yards away. I don't much like walking behind people, and definitely not people who are acting crazy anyway.

I also explored some woods I'd spotted, but won't go back, as teenagers were hanging about there (in case you can't tell, I hate teenagers; they make me nervous).

It was good for wildlife-spotting though; lots of rabbits, a bird that I need to identify (possibly a heron) and a deer.

rambling, pictures, tv shows, crazy people, tv history, rant, racist, saturday night, current events, just my opinion so please be nice, afraid of, another person, animals
