Lockdown, Day #79
Trying not to feel guilty about not being helpful enough in the supermarket tonight to someone; I think about my karma a bit too much.
I've been hearing about the new "bubble" system for single people where they can be invited into the house of one other person; I'm not sure how it will work in practice - it basically means that I need to have someone say, "Would you like to come to my place?"
Meanwhile, I'm so glad I finally got some magnums and have space for them in my freezer.
I'm not sure where I stand on the whole "statues of slave traders being pulled down" debate. Some of the things I read about Winston Churchhill and Queen Victoria statues being defaced is just shocking, but with statues of slave traders, I feel a bit like John Oliver does about the confederate flag.
Incidentally, if people were tearing down Jimmy Savile statues, no one should stop them.
