What We Have Is Failure to Communicate

Feb 29, 2020 17:12

I worked from home yesterday, and had fish and chips with the family. I also booked a table for 12 for my third birthday meal, where I know some people will flake out/forget, because this always happens.

My new mattress came today; it feels very comfy, and is better than the one that I'd had for about thirty years and was having a few bad nights on. Having to wait up for the delivery from 7am was less good though; I was hoping to get a bit of a lie in.

We went to the new Aldi today; it is a bit chaotic with all the other people, but I got a big shop done for relatively cheap.

I'm going out for a second birthday meal tonight; I'm somewhat bummed that two people ignored my invite completely, but need to remember that I've had incidents where I've consciously ignored messages. I know one of the people who can't make it has a gig on; no idea about the other person, but last time I tried to organise a meal with the group, he went silent too.

I'm sure I can't have done anything to cause him to want to not speak to me, but it does feel like being sent to Coventry when this happens.

There may be two people who don't get on, but it's quite possible that one of them thinks he has Coronavirus, so won't show up.
