Hottest Day Ever?
My paper was calling this day our hottest day ever, and I can believe that - I worked from home today, and I could just about hear the packed out lido nearby.
Apparently the trains got really bad tonight, so I was glad to be away from that, particularly with leading a walk tonight. It was good that several people came, and we had a nice long walk (5 and a half miles) that ended before it got dark.
There was a scare on the way when it started raining; there were guys walking around who didn't look like they'd taken a shirt out with them at all, but the rain wasn't too bad as it felt a bit refreshing, but could have stopped the walk going ahead - luckily, it didn't and I managed to lead the walk without getting us lost.
I loved the sunset picture I got.
