I went out to Jamie's Italian in Angel for a family birthday today. It was an okay place, but we got a waitress who forgot who had ordered what so when she came to tell us that they didn't have the roast I had ordered, she looked right in the face of another member of my party. Surely the usual approach if you're not sure is "Who ordered the beef?"
The main course didn't come with enough vegetables, but later they did sing happy birthday and the dessert I had made up for it. We had a walk through Coal Drops Yard before getting the train back.
I spent about an hour or so this evening making three batches of bolognese sauce, mostly to freeze later in the week because having a big freezer is so convenient for doing this.
