So, I was kind of expecting a few deliberate jokes like actors flubbing lines on purpose, but when the sound cut out I just thought, "Typical - something is wrong with my TV".
And when the continuity announcer said that there was a technical issue, I thought it was for real and that they were going to show a repeat of one of my favourites, "A Quiet Night In".
So, I was all ready to watch this, but hold on ...
The picture flipped upside-down, and there was something REALLY weird about the background.
It's gone wrong, or...
That's when I realised that this was all part of the episode - it was meant to happen.
The rest of the episode was kind of like Paranormal Activity or The Blair Witch project with the actors making it look like horrific things really happened, and then that they'd all been killed/killed themselves.
I think this was one of my all-time favourites; completely experimental, and off-the-wall, and it worked. I'm not sure if it would be easy to repeat though.
