Trying to Make Sense of Things Right Now
I've not posted much this week - nothing's been going on.
I'm getting a cough/cold right now so could do with a quiet weekend; I've also started taking ear drops again before getting my ears syringed next week.
I had to go in two chemists to get them; I started off in the one next to where I live; I've not found it to be the greatest place, but I was a bit taken aback when I was waiting, and the woman who runs it looked up and said, loudly, "Go away", which I took to be at me and left immediately.
I kept wondering, is she someone who voices all her thoughts and just said the first thing that came to mind upon seeing another customer, did she have some weird sense of humour that she thought I'd get? (in any case, I didn't see the funny side).
I did get the ear drops - went in a better place the night after.
But I'm starting to crave the nights out again - as soon as I feel better.
I might have taken at least a day off work with my cough, but I was just about coming to the end of my sickness absence probationary period and didn't want to incur more sick leave.
