I have just got back from three nights in Bruges. It was really nice out there, and I was sad to leave.
I was feeling quite bummed to start with because I found out that one of my friends organised another football tournament without inviting me, despite the fact that I have approached him in the past and said I'd like to take part.
I was feeling angry towards him most of the day and trying not to let it ruin things.
My first problem was getting through security at Eurostar, because I got distracted into leaving a lot of things in my pockets and setting off the alarms, so I had to go back and put them all in a tray.
Once we got on the train, our rep Norman introduced himself to everyone on the trip; he is quite a nice person, if long-winded in how he speaks to people.
We got off the train in Lille, France, and got a coach the rest of the way; we had the evening to ourselves in Bruges, so we went exploring. It was quite a nice place, although we were avoiding a man who was evidently drunk and was shouting random stuff, some of it at unoccupied chairs.
I had a nice lasagne in a small restaurant; it felt a bit weird because our table was on a slope!
