Today, we spent the morning in the outlet mall; it's not my favourite place to go, but there had been an unfortunate sunglass-breaking incident at Typhoon Lagoon, so a new pair was needed. Some of the shops were fun, and I remember seeing a T-shirt I liked in Journeys; it was a Terminator homage, with Jesus and the caption, "I'll be back" while dressed as Arnold. More on that later, but I didn't buy right away - I wasn't sure about how much more money I needed.
The outlets got very tiring and I was relieved to reach EPCOT. We used our fast passes on some rides, and I enjoyed the tribute to Michael Jackson by bringing back Captain EO, which I've only seen at Disneyland Paris. I enjoyed Test Track, and went on both the tame and intense versions of Mission: Space (the intense is more fun, with G-forces as you lift off; I felt like my face was turning into Richard Nixon, like in Airplace 2: The Sequel). I remember the second time I was sitting next to a guy who had an accent that sounded like he should have been on True Blood, who told us all to keep looking ahead; if we looked down, we'd be sick.
Last thing in the evening, after dinner, we watched the fireworks over the lake; they were quite impressive, and then we got lost trying to find our car.
I thought Hollywood Studios would be packed out because of the Star Wars weekend; it turned out to be still not as busy as the Magic Kingdom (I guess that place just is really popular); it was interesting seeing all the people dressed as Star Wars characters, including some guests (though not many). There was some random guy dressed as Where's Wally (Waldo if you're not from the UK like me), who apparently looked like me. I enjoyed Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller Coaster as usual, and went on them more than once, and the Toy Story ride was great fun.
However, there were a few problems on this day:
First, we had our first rainstorm; when I first heard the thunderclap, I was next to the Tower of Terror, and thought, "What a neat special effect"; turned out it was real.
Secondly, I had what was luckily my only encounter with someone who had issues; as I tried to get around one of the shops, some woman came storming over and blocked my way; she was making a bee line for the door for some reason, and I did what I usually do when I'm trying to get somewhere and someone gets in the way; I scooted around her. When I got in front of her, and it was only for a second or two, she flipped; she roared at me to move and then stormed off. I remember being really angry; one way to get me really angry is to get shirty at me and act like I should be treating you like royalty. I calmed down eventually, but I was really angry - at myself for letting it happen, and at her for being such a complete b****.
The rest of the day was a bit better; I had dinner in the 50s Primetime Café, where they pretend to be your aunt/uncle/cousin in the 1950s and tell you off if you put your elbows on the table. We did have another encounter with a b**** though; she came over when we were queuing up and started shouting at us about "only one of you has to queue up, the rest of you stand THERE!"; looking at her outfit, I assumed she worked there, so I did as I was told. Only thing was, she didn't; she was a customer, and she also pushed in front of us. This really was a day of meeting women who thought they were queen bee.
