First thing this morning, I had some little squirt barely out of nappies who works at my local station told me off for standing near to the edge of the platform.
Let's get a few things clear.
1) If you're under the age of 25, you are a child and should not be entitled to a job.
2) If you are under 25, then you should be seen and NOT heard.
The insignificant little insect started making repeated announcements that people on the crowded platform where there's not much room to get past the crowds waiting for the train, and most people ignored it. I'd have liked to tell the child, "Take a hike", or something abusive but thought it best not to.
Conclusion: People who work at the station are Nazis.
Then, this lunchtime I queued up for about ten minutes at the post office to get an application for my new passport sent off; I was told: "You have to fill in the form again". The reasons being that my signature was a bit too big and my e-mail address was too long. She told me to go to one side with the new form, and then come back but don't queue. I left and filled it in at the office; no way am I going to go back without queuing, risking the wrath of people who think I pushed in.
Conclusion: People who work at the post office are Nazis.
I'm just glad to be home.
