More Birthday Celebrations

I spent all day yesterday doing taekwon-do, which was very tiring, but I got through it because my BFF was supposed to be doing a gig just around the corner from my flat, but when I got home I found it was cancelled; that sucked, and I didn't feel like going out further afield because I was too exchausted from the last few days. I ended up watching a DVD of Back to the Future in my flat and then getting an early night.

Of course, just as I was drifting off to sleep, I heard my neighbour coming home with someone and talking very loudly.

Today, I did my shopping and then we went out in the afternoon to have lunch together as a family. The place we went to was one of the places I've been lobbying to go to for the last year or so; it used to be a bar where I occasionally attended gigs, but it closed about three years ago, and it's just about recognisable from what it used to be. They had a live singer there, although she broke for lunch while we were there, and I just had to get a picture of the balloons at one of the nearby tables where someone was celebrating her 30th birthday.

The food was very nice, although we weren't entirely satisfied with the service. We then went home and watched a home video of our Peak District holiday from many years ago, and booked up an evening ghost tour for next month, which was one of my presents. I love things like this so I can't wait!
