Job Interview

Aug 09, 2012 20:19

I had a job interview today; it went mostly well, though there were some moments when I was a bit unsure what exactly to say - but I felt that I gave some good answers to other questions. It always makes me extra nervous when I find that I'm up against a good friend of mine in going for the position though.

I was planning to go to the beer festival at Olympia tonight, but the colleague who organises the trips didn't want to go again and everyone else had either gone last night and/or had other plans, so I just came home. I played around with my new phone on the train, which included downloading Neil Gaiman's Stardust.

To make up for missing the beer festival, I went into the fish and chip shop outside the station; it has a couple of young lads working there who don't seem to be much older than kids (well, they're around 17 or 18 anyway), but they're really friendly guys and I usually chat to them about things while I'm in there. Then, I went home and ate my food while watching the Anime, Spirited Away, which was confusing at times but really good.

Odd fashion statement of the day that I'd not seen before: A guy wearing a sweatshirt with the hood up; underneath I could see he had a baseball cap facing backwards (tilted about as far back on his head as it would go).
