I did not have a good time getting home tonight, because there had been a suicide on the line, so all the trains were messed up. Just thinking that someone had jumped in front of a train was a chilling and harrowing thought, and the trains were packed full; I found out what had happened by a guy called Ed who was stood next to me. The train was incredibly late leaving the station, and I only got on it after a lot of deliberation - it wasn’t a direct one and it was supposed to have just left; I thought at first that if I dashed for it, it would pull out just as I arrived, but I made it on - because it left about half an hour late, and finally pulled into my stop almost 90 minutes later.
Various train boards said different things at the station, and it was pouring with rain, but the Newcastle supporting guy at the station said that it wasn’t worth waiting so I did my food shopping nearby and got a lift home. I left work at 5 and got home at 8, so was not pleased.
