Fanfic Retrieval

I just noticed this needs to be put onto my website, which I've not updated FOR EVER - or at least in about three years anyway.

See behind the cut - it's part 20 of 26, so you might want to go here for parts 1 to 19 - basically, it's all about Mulder and Scully doing romantic things beginning with each letter of the alphabet, insprised by Alphabet Weekends by Elizabeth Noble.

I need to write the last six chapters - and I plan to write some this weekend; U will probably be "umbrella".

"I've been planning this one for a while" Mulder told Scully as he opened the front door to her. "And the good thing was there is no need to book because it isn't a very busy place".
"Mulder, I have never tried Thai food before; are you sure I'll like it?"
"Scully" replied Mulder, "you are missing out - green curry is one of the nicest things you'll have to eat".
"Green?" replied Scully, "are you joking, Mulder".
"I would never joke, Scully; this is a great plan".
Mulder took Scully's arm and the two of them began to walk into town; it was the middle of autumn, but it felt like it was still July.
"This had better not turn out to be fully booked, forcing us to eat in a burger bar" added Scully.
Mulder laughed; he knew his partner was joking. Sadly, she wasn't far from the truth, as ten minutes later, Mulder was scratching his head.
"I'm sure it was here, Scully" he said, as they stood outside a large convenience store; "maybe I got the wrong road; he practically dragged Scully around a corner.
"Mulder" Scully began, but her partner didn't seem to be listening - he was checking all of the shops and restaurants, looking bemused. The two of them were wandering around for what seemed like half an hour, but was probably only ten minutes before Mulder stopped an old lady in the street and asked for directions, but she just looked at him bemused and then hurried on.
As luck would have it, someone else had heard Mulder; a young woman approached them and said:
"Didn't you hear? It closed down two months ago - it's a convenience store now".
"Thank you" replied Mulder, feeling very embarrassed. Talk about the best laid plans of mice and men.
He looked at Scully, who said nothing; she just glared at him.
"Mulder, you have dragged me around here for goodness knows how long, trying to find a place that doesn't exist?"
"I'm sorry, Scully..."
"I can't believe you didn't even check where the place was first!" Scully yelled, "the place turned out to be closed!"
"Scully - please". Mulder was afraid his partner would storm off.
"I'm sorry, Mulder - it was the thought that counted; but where else are we going to go?"
Scully remembered the planned meal out she was going to have for E, which had to be aborted.
Every single place seemed to be booked up, and Mulder and Scully ended up in a burger bar.
"Just as I predicted" Scully laughed as she it into her quarter pounder.
Mulder grinned back at her; "One day we'll look back at this and laugh".
"Come on, Mulder - we already are!"
The two of them ended up in fits of laughter, prompting a man nearby to quickly move to another table on the other side of the restaurant.
