1) Peterborough, England
I put this one because it's the place where I was born and grew up in when I was a kid; it has a really nice park on the edge of town where I used to love going to walk around with my parents, and play on the equipment there, and the shopping centre, Queensgate, is still quite nice - not quite as nice as it was when it opened in the 1980s, due to some changes they made that annoyed me - getting rid of the sunken areas used for seating, for example.
2) Fulham, London, England
A really nice place for a day out, and watching Fulham at Craven Cottage (if you get a chance); there are great pubs (e.g. Golden Lion, Star and Garter) and good views over the Thames from Putney Bridge.
3) The Rocky Mountains, Canada
I enjoyed this place when I went there on holiday - the Athabaskar Glacier is spectacular, as is most of the scenery from the many peaks there; I spent a lot of time going up them on the gondolas, and also I love the beautiful, pale-blue lakes.
4) Kefalonia
I remember enjoying my stay in Fiskardo a lot, though anyone who hates cats will hate eating around the dockyard because a lot of them show up looking for scraps of food. I like the fact that (at least when I visited), it was almost completely unspoiled by tourism and commercialism, so everything was really authenic - no huge Coca Cola signs or McDonalds restaurants put there just for people who can't be bothered to eat like the locals.
5) Florence, Italy
Amazing buildings here, and a tower with views of the whole city; I had a great day out here, plus got my caricature done by one of the street artists. Also, it seems like a less obvious tourist trap like Rome and Pisa.
6) Amsterdam, Holland
Not just for the Red Light District, though walking around here amongst scantily clad women posing in windows was certainly interesting; it also has some great bars, and friendly locals - I love how all the Dutch seem to speak perfect English (better than many English people); also, Amsterdam Arena is a great place to get a guided tour. If I ever go again though, I want to visit at least one of the breweries (Amstel or Heineken).
