Starting a Monthly Lexington Furry Meetup at Gavin's Place!
Hi all! I have decided to have official monthly Lexington furry meetups at my house near downtown Lexington off of Richmond Road. The nearest major intersection is Ashland Avenue and Main Street. My cell phone number, so you can call me for directions, is 859 230 0062. My email address, so you can email me for directions is gavinfoxx at yahoo dot com. My yahoo name is gavinfoxx, my aim name is also gavinfoxx, and my msn screenname is gavinfoxx@hotmail.com (I dont use that email address; I just use it for msn messenger). Many local furs know where my place is, so you can ask them.

I plan on having the meetup start at 11 am on the SECOND SUNDAY of each month. If enough people tell me to move it to Saturday instead, I may consider moving it there, but I would have to perpetually ask off for work then. There are some rules for my house, including no drinking alcohol in the house or on the property, and any smoking must be done OUTSIDE, preferably out back where there are ash trays. I do have a hot tub, so people can bring swim clothes and use the hot tub. Generally, everywhere on the first floor and outside is safe to go, but the basement is usually (though not always) off limits, and the master bedroom, master bath and master dressing room are off limits. The third floor, my domain, is okay, but I generally prefer to be in the same general area as my guests. As for rules for things to bring to the gather, bring anything furry that you want, be it art, books, movies, whatever. Bring any normal movies (dvds prefered, rather than vhs) that you think a lot of furries would like to read. Bring art materials, and bring SNACKS AND FOOD and non-alcoholic beverages!! Bring DDR if you want to do that, and bring costumes if you want to show off your costumes with everyone. Also, if you want to order pizza or something, bring money to do so. The gather will go from 11 am sunday to as late as you want, but the later it gets, the more quiet you all will have to be (I dont work monday.. but the parental units will often be there. Don't worry, they are 110% cool with furry!) Also, occasionally, we may decide to go do something away from my house, like go to a park or go to a movie or go do something elsewhere. Please be prepared to go off on whatever random idea we somehow agree on!
This meeting is for furs 18 years old and older. Sorry, but the legal issues of having under 18 year olds here are a bit too much for me to want to worry about! I would like to ask furs to keep any potential sexual undertones relatively under control, as that may make some furs uncomfortable. This post is not the official place to ask questions and get them answered about the meetup, instead THIS post is:

I would prefer that people either respond to THE KYFURS FORUM post with rsvp or email me with rsvp information. Please include the IRL first names of the people attending and the furry names of the same people. This meetup is also friendly to non-furs, though I would prefer people who have at least a tangential relationship or understanding of the furry fandom. Weres, Vampires, Dragons, Otherkin, Fey, etc. are also welcome. I hope to see you there!
