Manners - we all know what they are, we all know what they are for.
1. Do you think you are more or less courteous than your parents?
Not sure really - usually less so, judging by how I react if someone rubs me up the wrong way.
2. Has the pandemic effected your manners and in what way?
I think it's made them better - I find myself less prone to giving into the temptation to deliberately cut other people up, for example, if I see the other person heading towards a spot - maybe the supermarket entrance - I just stand back and let them go first; in the past I've rushed in front of others, and they've been none to please with me (I'm ashamed to say, my reaction on one occasion was to turn around and say, "Get stuffed".
3. Do you think manners should be taught in school or at home?
Definitely at home; its something your parents should teach you; plenty of adults don't have any manners though; I think some people just seem oblivious to the presence of others though.
4. If you are a woman, do you like having a guy hold open a door for you or would you rather hold open a door for a guy?
5 Guys, what about you? Do you like having a woman hold a door for you or does it make you feel weird. Why?
So, I'll answer 5 - I think if a woman wants to hold the door open for me, she's entitled to, much better than them not checking and just letting it slam, or them looking around, seeing me, and still slamming it in my face.
Time to confess - I've slammed the communal front door in a neighbour's face last year - on purpose - I wasn't in the mood for talking to him. One of the few times I let my manners slip.
