When In Rome
Let's think of some points to sum up the ridiculous weekend. Bonnaroo 2007, Manchester, TN.
-very very hot, but cool sleeping weather
-sweet camping spot by the road, but with a low tarp
-weird neighbor guy in the mini-pop up camper
-Hot Chip was awesome because we were drunk
-Tool was intense and of course solid, but the concert was too distant
-light mush trip was sufficient, especially for the ferris-wheel!
-Keller is better when he plays alone, I don't have the time or patience for other musical genious'
-aderol helps one function with low food and h2o levels
-Bonnaroo corn dogs aren't that good
-little doobie snacks should really be fatter, but i like the coconut wrapper
-there was quite the array of drug options, shoulda taken the free hit of acid
-made a few plain hamburgers, no cheese (hash)
-bonus left-over opium
-Bill and friends had a nice set up real close, I'm glad we followed them and stuck together
-lack of expectations and being with people who wanted to explore was good
-"this too shall pass"
-the Jazz lounge...sitting in the back in the dark sharing a granola bar
-finally did the Silent Disco, awesome.
-drinking liquor at Bonnaroo is a good idea
-dirty hippies are the best to people-watch
-sometimes it's okay to walk around partially nude
-the shady spot in the back (near This Stage) is still an excellent spot to lay around
-we missed Clutch, Tea Leaf Green, The Police, Pete Yorn, the big Jam, Ben Harper, most of String Cheese Inc.
-venturing off alone is a good way to venture around and really explore the Roo
-Shakedown St. can't be beat, squirt guns and spray bottles included.
-it's a 9-10 hour road trip
