Maybe the Commies were Right.

Ok, so i am a little upset with a situation at work and i need help to know as to if i am justified in this.

Today I saw that people were doing a job that i had trained three years to do. They knew i was skilled because i told them of my experience and i was the one who did the logo they were butchering with shitty placement. Is it too much to ask that the guy with formal training in the "visual stuff" do the "visual stuff"? right now i am forced to sit back and do a job i am over skilled for and watch others so a fucking piss-poor job with tasks that i more qualified to do, (not to brag)and more skilled at. This is why OCAD laughs at Sheridan's printed material. I am helpless to stand by as people ignore my advice, "scrunch" my logo and leave type floating about the page with nothing to hold onto.

I have done everything i can to get them to utilize my training in this subject yet they reject my (and any other artist's) offer. They want to do it because it's "fun".

If i can't walk into a Hospital and get elbow deep into a stranger because I'd "rather do it" than the same should go for them.

either get some formal training (even one day), or delegate the task.

fucking desktop publishing have made monstrosities out of print!

on a lighter note Linds and i saw the McKenna Brothers on Sat, it was an awesome show, everyone missed some good old "sociable" fun.
