OK, I just saw the eppy I missed when my TiVo blew up a couple of weeks ago called "Warrior". Liked the ep overall, but being a doctor myself, some of the details made me cringe.
The biggest one is that you CANNOT do the surgical procedure Magnus performed on a person's cervical area under LOCAL anesthetic! Big, fat, DUH! I know it was for dramatic effect, but jeez, people! As deep as her incision went, it's just not possible for lidocaine to infiltrate that deep into the tissues.
Secondly, she gave Will an IV injection at the end of the show without pulling the tourniquet off--um, Dr. Magnus? Your liquid will not advance and you would not be able to push the plunger well against that much pressure.
See? Super nitpicking! But I still love the show and I love Henry (Ryan Robbins). I want him to come to Dragon Con in Atlanta!
Anyway, you can't fault a show when in the first few moments they were discussing their favorite albums of all time and Dr. Magnus stated Rhapsody in Blue and Sgt. Pepper. Will then shot back, "And I bet you watched the sun rise with the Beatles."
Magus smiled and said enigmatically, "Only one of them."
Woo hoo! My kind of girl! (Although if it was George I'm gonna have to scratch her eyes out.)
