OK, lesson learned.  It's not so smart to get your kids vaccinated with the flu shot and NOT GET ONE YOURSELF.  DUMB.  ASININE.  Otherwise you spend 6 days in the bed with a fever while your hubby does all the work.  Then you go behind him and Lysol the sh*t out of everything ( Read more... )

Isn't Jack O'Neill just MADE OUT OF AWESOME? SG1 has it's issues, but I'll forever love them.
(I started with SGA too, so I totally understand how you feel)
(also, shame on you for not getting the flu shot! Are doctor's not reminded by employee health like nurses are to get the flu shot?)

Oh yes, Jack O'Neill is beyond description. And here I am as a child of the 80's thinking, "I'm having all these naughty thoughts about MACGYVER??? Hell yes, I am!"

Um......yes, it is *strongly* encouraged for doctors (or anyone that has frequent contact with the public) to get the flu shot. And I'm always on the ball when it comes to my kids, but when it comes to my own health......not so much. It's very true what they say--doctors really do make the worst patients. When they stuck me in the hospital overnight, the ER doc said he was doing it to get me to stop working and taking care of others for a few days. He really ripped me a new one and I deserved it. All I could think of were the shifts I was missing and all the work I was leaving the other docs. Shame on me.

I'm sure I'll have more gushing to come over SG-1 as I make my way through TEN SEASONS of it! Woo hoo!
