Hey, all. No, I am not dead, only time-challenged. Les Messieurs have their fingers in many pies and this ensures that there is always something to be seen to. Also a fair amount of traveling was done this summer.
I'm here because of a prompt (disguised as a meme) from versailes_rose who is nothing if not sly when it comes to pushing me toward Eljay. So--here it is.

1. Oysters at Casamento's under the amused gaze of Le. The oysters were great and the company (as always) stimulating. Ahem.
2. The courtyard cats. There are nine of them at this point.
3. Managed to pull off a fairly successful fund-raiser; the money is for homeowners who have been unable to move back to New Orleans since Katrina to secure legal help. This is one example of what has been keeping me busy these days. It was Lo's baby, by the way.
4. A recent visit with my brother. I don't talk much about my family, but in spite of a rocky past, I love them all.
5. Spearmint sno'balls.
6. Excellent music at Vaughn's last Thursday.
7. Repairs on the house at Grand Lake are finished.
8. Lo. has been positively chatty the past few weeks.
9. Perry brought me a huge pot (tub) of gumbo from her maw.
10. We have received invitations to Julia's ninth birthday party.
Most of the folks on my rather meager list have probably done this meme, so I won't tag anyone.
