(no subject)
Been a bit of a hectic month.
Setup was lots of fun and not too stressy. Lots of new friends and lots of new in-jokes. Tea has not tasted the same since.
The Gathering itself was a bit..... Friday was fun and painful because of Halos stag do but still great. The Sat was fun up untill loads of us got killed (I am not complaining about getting killed BTW, it was all fair and groovy). I have had 5 great years playing Halo and I will miss getting into the kit and walking around in his normaly clueless state but all char's have to die or dissapear at some point. The real saving grace about him dieing is that Violet dies at the same time so at least one of us was not left having to play all emo and distraught for the rest of the weekend, we left that to the rest of the faction to do. It was jaw dropping to see the response the faction had not only to Violet and Halo's death but also the 20 other Harts who died on that field. I think those of you that survived made those of us who did not feel missed and loved.
Also big hugs to Eddie for giving me a kick in the arse to start a new char. After a bit of a shakey start I found Theo and people responded to him quite well. And Kev gave him his Excaliber moment as well. Good throw mate.
Take down was fun but knackering, as always.
Then I spent a week in Nottingham helping Helen and Taz fix up their new home and look for a new job. I think I was helpful and I have a couple of applications out for jobs. New life here we come.
And this weekend went down to Manchester for Ads surprise 30th birthday party. There are tons of pics up on facebook already and peobably loads more to come. It was a great weekend for everyone and I am really glad Ed rang me on friday and made me go.
I must now make a real big "sorry, sorry, please dont kill me" to Sara and Ryan. I really wanted to get down for your wedding but there was no way I could do it.
I have probably missed loads out but this is just a quick update. Life is getting hectic and exciting right now and I really must get back to it.
