Trying to be more incremental this year...
  • Collision - Another amoral play by The Amoralists. Two college freshmen are roommates. One of them gets a girl to sleep with him and them manipulates her into sleeping with his roommate. He hates one of his professors and gets his roommate to agree to a plan whereby they will lure the professor to their dorm room and then beat him up, and that this will supposedly force him to confront his own miserable existence. The plan works. The two boys, the girl, and the professor hang out a lot and smoke weed. They tell each other secrets and profess their love for one another and say that the world doesn't care for them like they do. They decide to make a home movie. Supposedly for the movie, they buy guns and ammunition. One of the students convinces his roommate (he's good at manipulating other people into doing things) to beat up some random guy. They agree that they feel nothing. The check they used to buy the guns bounces (what kind of a gun dealer takes checks?) and he comes back. The professor hits him over the head with a vase and he is killed. When one of the roommates gets back, he asks "why is he under my bed? I didn't kill him; he should be under your bed". The night before they shoot the final scene of their movie, they have a group hug. In the morning, they use their guns to shoot up some unspecified public location. The play ends.
  • Bethany - A play staring America Ferrera (of Ugly Betty fame) about the struggles of a homeless car saleswomen squatting in a foreclosed home with a deranged man who is struggling in the recession to reclaim her daughter from social services.
