my life as of late
It's been a long absence from LJ...I've been spending WAY too much time on MySpace. It's been an interesting couple of months:
I broke up with Matt after 3 1/2 years. We're still friends of course, because after 3 1/2 years it's kind of hard not to be. The ironic thing is that on that night, I got a call from Colin out of the blue. I hadn't talked to him in 4 years. Guys have a tendency to do this to me. For those of you who don't know Colin, he was a guy from Georgia who went to college in MA that i met while on vacation with Aimee in Cape Cod ater freshman year. One thing led to another and we dated for the better part of a year and change. Things were great for the most part, but got bad while I was at school. Any way, after 4 years he called to apologize for everything, and has been calling me pretty much every day since. Why do guys do this? I'm NOT interested.
So I've been dating. I probably should have given it more time, but I think I was ready for it a long time ago. I've had a hell of a lot of fun meeting new people, although trying to find someone who wants to do more than just "tap that" has been more difficult than I thought. Some things never change, go figure....somewhere in the midst of things I grew up. I guess I'm just looking for a guy who wants me for more than a piece of ass, not that I've ever let that happen anyway. But I met a great guy named Jay that I just sort of clicked with, which kind of took me by surprise....similar interests, personalitites, attractions and the like. It wasn't expected, but I'm definitely not complaining in the least. Normally I'm a skeptic about things like this, and I am picky. We've seen a lot of each other lately, and I like the way things are going so far. fingers are crossed with this one.
Going out for Mexican and 80s music with the twin and Laura tonight...should be a good time. It's been a rather interesting week, so I'm in the mood to let loose tonight ;-) We all know what happens when I get like this....ERIN GONE WILD!
I suppose I should get back to work....it's what I'm getting paid for afterall!
