not safe, even at work

I work in an office complex out in the middle of the desert. Perhaps this is because when the terrorists come to bomb Raytheon, which shares the site with us, the damage will be minimal.

As such we tend to encounter wildlife on site. We've had a family of bobcats nearby, plenty of field mice, coyotes and roadrunners.

Two weeks ago an invader started breaking into our offices and eating candy. It was messy and elusive, and rumor had it urinated on someone's chair. Yesterday, we finally caught the damn thing. We had set some traps out, the kind that an animal can get into but not out of, and loaded it with chocolate. It turns out, we had a ringtail cat:

As invaders go, this one was both cute and destructive. Dear god could this thing eat candy.

Security came by and took it away, presumably to drive it a few miles into the desert and dump him out.

I wonder if ringtail is good eats?
