[By now, Abel's gotten more than just the gist of what's going on - and has basically come to terms with the fact that it might not end right away. But as terrifying as potentially blurting out even more of the truth is, he still has more important matters to attend to.
With an almost intensely thoughtful look on his face, he is hunched over a large, white notepad where he sits in the midst of empty tables and chairs cluttering up one of the ship's observation decks. After a moment, he puts down his marker (did he raid a supply closet, somewhere?) and turns the notepad around to show the sphere.
In his round and scribbly script (the actual language decidedly foreign on paper, but translated easily in projection), the page reads
"What do you say, doesn't now seem like a good time for a game of Charades?"
Beneath this, he's signed the note with a little symbol that appears to represent a pair of glasses: o-o ]
