[he's been avoiding contact with other people so far, but when he sees Manjoume get sprayed, he can't help his concern] Manjoume? What was that?

That statue just sprayed me!

[He's not mad at Oliver, and he's not trying to snap at him, but with his stress levels at the moment, he might by accident...]

[that's okay, Oliver figures he deserves to be snapped it] Sprayed you with what?

[Manjoume would disagree with that if he knew, considering that he was kind of unable to actually muster the sanity to check his Sphere last plot more than it decided to show, and therefore doesn't know what happened to Oliver.

He attempts to wring out his clothes.] I'm hoping water, but knowing this place, it'll probably glue together whatever it touches when it dries or something annoying like that.

[makes a very weak attempt at optimism] You never know. That sounds more like a joke than an attack.

[Sorry, Oliver, your optimism is lost on him at the moment.] It's not a very funny joke.

Well apparently the universe must think it's hilarious or something, or else it would stop doing these types of things and leave us alone.

Either that or just the Gate does!

I don't think Maris alone could recreate this forest, statues and all. Not unless she's getting it from us somehow...

With all of what's happened, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the gate or Maris or someone completely unrelated.

Or the First. Or all of them together somehow... [sighs. his optimism is not up to its usual level]

[He also sighs, albeit in frustration.] It would be really nice if things actually went back to something resembling normal for once. That month back home, after things were done the first time? That was great.

[oliverplus]

[frowns] It was only a month for you?

But I'm glad it was a good month. [he does worry about you, Manjoume]

Yeah, one month. I guess it was longer for you? [He isn't surprised - it was two years for Neko, after all.]

It was a very good month. Things were actually normal there for the first time in months, even with new exchange students around.

[oliverplus]

Yeah, maybe about a year? I travelled with the Doctor for most of it, but I did get to spend three weeks at home, too. [smiles a little sadly. after years of waiting, he'd finally made it back to Earth--to his family and to Chloe--and it'd only lasted for three weeks]

You've got new exchange students at school? [after all the emotional trauma of the last week, it's nice to grab onto something normal]

Traveling around the world with the Doctor sounds like it would be an interesting experience.

[Normal is good. Manjoume would very much like normal. And speaking of normal topics like this is actually helping to calm him down a bit.] Four exchange students, one from each of the branches of Duel Academy all over the world. I haven't gotten to know any of them yet, but Judai seems to have made friends quickly with that Johan Andersen from North School, so.
