In the BB universe, some Armagus and Nox Nyctores have adverse effects on their wielders in addition to amplifying magic/physical capabilities/etc. In Noel's case, it's like taking cigarettes away from a nicotine junkie and forcing them to quit cold turkey - she's been going through severe withdrawal.
She looks a bit beat up, but whether that's from withdrawal or a trial is unknown, and she's not going to talk about it anytime soon.
