They put the equivalent of a "Kick Me" sign on my back.

...And my front. [settles very gingerly against the wall once he's turned around. closes his eyes and starts to laugh a little, though it hurts to] I think they broke a rib.

It's just a rib, Ollie. I've had worse.

And it's not anything that, you know. I'm not going to change if that's what you're worried about.

[eyes widen. he wasn't thinking about that until you said it, Doctor] You don't think they'd do anything that bad, do you?

They had plenty of opportunities to. You know, they wouldn't even use a mind probe on me! No mind probe, mind grater, or mind scrambler or anything! It was highly disappointing. [sounds genuinely insulted here]

Not that any of them would have worked anyway, but they didn't even try!

[blinks at him, then bursts out laughing. you might have just made his day, Doctor]

Oi, those things sting I'll have you know! Nothing at all like those little shocks they kept giving me, but that's beside the point!

[okay, that killed his amusement] ...you too?

[smiles a bit cheekily to keep this conversation the lighter side of things] You don't think I'd actually give them any relevant information, do you? Though, they now have an idea of how many first things came before them in case they ever wanted to clarify their name.

[snickers at that] I bet that was quite the list.

There is a reason why I've been away this long.

[shakes his head, amused] Oh, I don't doubt it.

So. What's the plan?

[bit_impossible]

Well...I haven't got my screwdriver or anything I can use to disable or break the lock. Even stuffed a few rocks into my pockets while I was in that arena, but they're not there now. Thought about pelting a guard in the back of the head with one, but can't do that now.

Although...I could always use my trainer to do that, but then again, I've heard of a couple unsuccessful escape attempts... [trails off a bit]

[frowns] Ah...yeah. I heard about two of those, too.

[and, because optimism is clearly required here] At least they don't really seem to want us hurt.

No, and isn't that curious? For people who want answers so badly, you'd think they'd do more to get what they want.
