[The sphere comes on to find a white wolf snuffling around its new surroundings, paying little attention to the sphere. After all, it's not a threat, and she's seen it before, so it's the lowest priority unless it randomly decides to break again. After a moment, she glances up to sniff at it before oozing out the door of her assigned quarters and ( Read more... )

[Well, doesn't this look familiar, too. Maybe someone has brought a pet aboard, or a wolf has escaped from some kind of enclosed habitat, or-

...Maybe obfuscating stupidity is harder than it should be, when his heart is stuck in his throat, again. Yeah, that's probably it. He makes a sound, a surprised exclamation that isn't quite there yet, but otherwise remains a startled, silent viewer.

Pardon him. Recovering memories is an entirely new experience, and Abel is trying to decide whether or not he likes it.]

[Her ear cocks at that sound and she looks up, and the expression on her face is one of shock, only that quickly seems to change.

Abel? ABEL! Her excited bark has her spinning on her heels, nearly falling over herself with her tail wagging. It was Abel, it had to be!]

[It's hard not to laugh a little, at that, although the enthusiasm does give rise to brief concern.]

Uh, I'm sorry I startled you. Please don't hurt yourself- Ammy. That's right, isn't it? I seem to remember you giving yourself a bloody nose more than once, from running into the walls, in a ship like this.

[What! Abel, that was....okay, yes, there was that one time, but that was one time! She's perfectly fine now. For a moment she looks slightly offended, then shakes it off. Now, the important thing is where is he hiding because she was still a little upset for not getting to at least give him a proper goodbye.]

[Don't look at him like that! His concern is mostly genuine. Can't have anyone getting wounded on the first day, even if it's just from chasing their tail.

Perhaps that Gate sickness has thrown him off his game, as well - he doesn't even bother trying to hide, once more apparently oblivious to the obvious consequences of inviting the goddess to come and hunt him out.]

Ah, I think I'm on the Useh- Uesegi? Uesugi? It's something like that. The one that's hard to pronounce.

This is going to be a lot more confusing than when we were all on one ship, isn't it?

[Oh-ho-ho, there's almost a fiendish smile on her muzzle, but that could be a trick of the light. She doesn't even have to hunt down a way to change ships!

It will, but they will find a way to make it work. Amaterasu rolls her shoulders as she turns, her easy acceptance of the changes coming from knowing that there was little she could do about it, then takes off at top speed. This sphere actually manages to keep up with her when it's not being buried in the flowers that she kicks up]

[Let's go with 'trick of the light.' He'll just keep innocently wandering the halls until he notices that she's taken off completely.

At which point it becomes difficult not to simply stop and watch the pretty hologram flowers.]

H-Hey! Where are you going? Ammy?

[Abel'll find out soon enough. Considering it hasn't been so long that she's completely forgotten what he smells like, she's leaning into the run and following the faint air currents. How big were these ships, again?]

[He thinks she's leaving, which is kind of disappointing, but he's sure he did something to deserve this, and maybe he just doesn't remember it, quite yet. At least it's keeping him in one place so that he should be easier to find.

Does he smell flowers, all of a sudden?]

I don't know how I managed to offend you, this time, but I'm sure I mustn't have meant it...

[Beware the four footed freight train, Abel. Her sphere is picking up a tall figure in the distance that seems to be getting nearer. Oh, she's not mad, Abel. Far from it!

Which is probably the reason why he should be worried, but it's a little too late for that.

It's a good thing Ammy knows how to put on the breaks just as she pounces. Somebody is excited to see him!]

[He's getting too much credit, here. When has Abel Nightroad ever been wary of anything?

Wait for it. Wait for it.

Huh? What's that on her sphere? Is there someone else on this ship who is 6'3" and dressed like a citizen of the Empire? No. Probably not.

He's now going to pivot around just in time to see that fluffy ball of impending doom barreling down upon him... Before he's knocked flat on his back. She may have pulled this punch at the last second, but it's not very difficult to topple Abel. Who has screamed like some kind of wounded girly animal.]

A-Ammy! What did I do? Am I being punished for something?!

Reply

celestial_okami March 15 2010, 19:29:42 UTC
[Yes, horribly punished, and by punished she means pinned down and slobbered on. Her tail wags like it's trying to fly off as she washes his face from one ear to the other. When she finally gets her excitement under control, there's a flash of light and she's hugging him tightly.]

Abel, I missed you! [Only when she speaks there's a horrible feeling of pressure that makes it impossible to actually hear her, and her sphere makes a dying whine before it seems to rupture something and fall to the floor. Letting out a surprised huff, she lets go of Abel long enough to turn her sphere over in her hands, looking confused. Why does it keep doing that? It never did that before...

Using her Power Slash to split it open, she eyes the insides with a look that's obvious that she has no idea what's what, then covers it in ink. With it mended as good as new, her sphere sputters back to life and rolls in her hands like it's dizzy before returning to its usual hovering height while she watches it with mild concern. Honestly, what is that all about?]

[For a moment, he's caught between trying to shove the excitable wolf back just enough to save at least some part of his face from being coated in drool and hoping that pets will appease her wrath somehow. In spite of the awkward position it puts them in, he's a little relieved when she's human and it's that much easier to hug back - at least until she tries to speak, and something strange happens to both him and her poor sphere.

Nothing seems to come out. He seizes up under that impossible pressure, nearly crushed by something that isn't there, couldn't possibly be. As Ammy turns her attention to the busted sphere, Abel sits up in a daze, wiping his face with the back of a glove to remedy the obvious - but also to check and make sure his nose hasn't started bleeding. Was it some kind of head trauma? Or-]

Oh, I think I'm still a little bit woozy from throwing up so much, before... What did you say?

Ah--! S-Something's wrong, Ammy. I don't know what's happening, but, uh. But I don't like it one bit! [He's still rubbing the side of his head, and he winces again, almost in time with the mechanical complaint from her sphere.]

[Her ears fold back and she whines, touching his face and looking worried. He looked hurt, she didn't think she'd pounced him that hard. With a sigh, she leans in and rubs her forehead against the underside of his chin. She didn't mean to, honest.]
