Blast it all, these bastards!

Euphemia li Britannia, presently assigned to the Hawking, sir!

I've done some reading on the mechanics of Alliance-standard crafts and have piloted a few Knightmare frames back home. I should be able to pilot a ship of we're shorthanded.

Explain a Knightmare for me, lass, because there're ships and there're machines and I'd rather put the [a curse as he gets jostled around and that cord in his neck yanks him back] right rear in the right seat, as it were.

Of course. Knightmare frames are advanced robotic combat suits. Some higher-end models are capable of flight.

In that event, it sounds like you'd do better in one of the individual units. [a pause as something bright seems to flicker across his eyes] You're registered to the Hawking, then-

We'll need to get you a fighter, but for now. How fast can you get to the hangar?

Finally, some fucking fun! O-oh, no... What's happening?

I don't like to, but I-I'll help fight...!

Do you suppose you can stomach it, miss?

Yes! I-if it's to help everyone, I can do it...!

It may not be ideal, but your co-pilot will hopefully balance that out.

How quickly can you get to the Hawking?

[his answer is immediate--probably before he's even thought about it] I'll help!

[but then he frowns, looking awkward and worried] But...I wouldn't be any good at artillery. What else do you need?

I've three units that will require both someone to manage weaponry and navigation. Currently only one has a navigator, can I assume you're able to drive?

[relieved] Yeah, I can do that! How do I get in?

[This is forever late, but for continuity...]

I'll unlock the unit once you've reached the docking bay, and once you're inside you'll need to input a passcode. Write it down if you must, I'm not a fan of repeating myself.

[Even as a newbie, of course she's in.]

Lightning Farron, Uesugi Combat Division. My specialization may not be piloting but I do have a familiarity with similar machines from back home.

Ah good, someone I don't have to look up.

Think you can get to the Hawking and handle some weapons for a navigator?

Already en route, sir. [May as well get back into the military swing of things. Behind her the hallway can be seen zooming by on the projection.] I can be there within five minutes... assuming this map is accurate.

Excellent. The map should be correct, despite their attack on certain systems.

There should be a fellow with an empty seat left in one of these machines, he'll be your navigator.

Your machines and weapons are all checked, you know. And you have the full list of my own roster and their abilities.

Sadly kids cant be arsed to do more than that.

I think these kids have a fetish for giant robots.

Thus far those ships aren't finding use.

Haven't you heard? They're reliving their old days of playing with toys. You may want to ask for back-ups from the superiors soon, in case the machines come back missing a limb or two. Or at the very least with their paint jobs ruined.

They're fixing anything they break, or I'll have their limbs as payment for the repairs.

I think I'll leave managing the ships to you. [Because you know, day's not complete if he hasn't tried to trouble Leon]
