Attention all non-commissioned and field-enlisted personnel.
A vessel identified by the Alliance as a rebel ship has been spotted within the vicinity, and is showing open hostility to the fleet. All crew members are to take their designated positions and begin defensive measures against incoming fighter ships.
This is not a drill. Repeat, this is not a drill.]
DETAILS
It looks like we have some trouble on the horizon! The enemy ship has chosen an inconvenient time to attack the fleet, with DIVA still recuperating from the anomaly of earlier, and all automated defenses are still down. But never fear; the Uesugi and Hawking have their own ways of holding off the attackers--the old-fashioned way.
Docked in the Hawking are five of the Alliance's own fighter ships, and three combat machines, ready and waiting for your characters to pilot them. Please take note that the combat machines require a pair to man them, one fighter and one navigator. That means a person Uesugi needs to take a friend from the Hawking to be able to take them out for a spin.
As the number of these ships and robots are limited, borrowing them will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to have your character go out there on either, please leave a comment here stating which type of spacecraft you would like to use in the fight in order to stake your claim. Meanwhile, those who do not choose to venture out into space against the enemy in the two different fighting vessels will be manning their ship's defense systems.
If you're wondering how this will happen, don't worry! There will be an open log coming in the next few days, so people will have a chance to plot with others what they want their characters to be doing during the attack.
As always, if you have any questions, suggestions or comments, feel free to leave them here! Additionally, the IC sign up post is here, for your characters to be able to volunteer for themselves, with this post serving as your reservation and plotting out with other players.
