I just happened to be at the comic book convention this weekend, and it rocked. I'll go into more detail later, for I am quite tired right now. I will say that over that time I went about asking for sketches of Wonder Woman...I went to the penny arcade table and asked Gabe for a sketch, which he did (slightly grudgingly). I've got a pretty good feeling that that guy is, at the very least, inspired by me...I can't imagine how many other people asked for a sketch of Wonder Woman. I would think that Tycho would have mentioned that. The way I read it, they had come up with the concept of the strip after I left and then another guy actually asked for a Green Lantern picture--So maybe the character is a combination of me and the other guy. There was a whole big scene about it that I didn't get into. For example, Gabe was like--"What?" as he was on the first panel, and then I blubbered about how I really was impressed by his work on WoW and just wanted to see his rendition of what WW would look like. Then he inquired ,"Well, do you have a referance?" and I looked over at Lindsay and said, "Her." Then Gabe said, " I meant of Wonder Woman. I think I can draw a girl's figure." Of course, I was embarrassed, and so I quickly looked for the Wonder Woman heroclix character I had just acquired at the swag table. I got that out for him and he drew what looks like Gabe with more curves in a Wonder Woman outfit. It's rad.
