Interesting Stories
Ok, so first story... kind of embarrassing....
Today, I'm at camp and I go to the bathroom before Lunch and realize that I just got my period. Me, being totally caught offguard, didnt have anything so I run upstairs and ask for a quarter. So I go to the machine and I try to put my quarter in but it wouldnt take it. So I start to worry but realize that there's another bathroom so I go there and theres a piece of paper saying "Out of Order" on the machine.
The only thing I see is the damn tampon dispenser! And I REFUSE TO USE THEM ANYMORE!! (Florida speaks for itself) So in my anxiousness, I go to the main desk and whisper to the lady if she had anyhting that she could give me... She said no but she checked her own purse. Then two other ladies came down and we're all discussing what to do. Well they were. I was pretty much standing there looking stupid. So then, one lady gets on her walkie talkie and asks a MAN what they should do for me! So blah blah blah, they decide to send me to a whole other building to get this damn pad.
So, I go to the building and I go up to the desk with the guard and I say as quietly as I can, "Excuse me, do you have any feminine napkins?" Then she goes " FEMININE WHAT!? WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" I'm thinking, O jesus.. any louder lady!? So another woman comes over and they're discussing what to do and all these men and guards are standing around discussing where the best place in the building would be for me to get A FREAKEN PAD!!!!! It was very very embarrassing! Needless to say, I got one.
Next story... And I feel this should be posted... 6 of us are ushering for one of the other performances and we're gettin a quick orientation of what we have to do. We're then led to a room where we're supposed to put the handicapped people if there's a fire... Here's the convo
Man: Ok, volunteers. If there is a a fire during the performance, do NOT touch the people who are in the wheelchairs. Calmly lead them to this place, close the door, and get out.
Charles: Wait, we just wheel them in and leave them there?
Man: No, I said, DON'T TOUCH THEM! They wheel themselves in, and then you leave them in there.
Charles: All by themself?
Man: Yes, well the firemen go to this place of refuge first when they enter the building.
Charles: So we just leave them in here by themselves!? I don't think I can do that! I mean, is it Fireproof?! Bulletproof!? What if they suffocate!? F*ck it! I'll die with those poor old people! I WONT LEAVE THEM!
Tomorrow I go to camp, and then after camp I stay downtown and "research" and then I have to usher the dance show that night at the Zell and then I sleep over Frank's. It should be a good time! This Sunday I'm going white water rafting with Lenny and all them. I'm terribly excited! I hope I don't die! lol That would suck! Well I'm gonna go! Ttyl!
