Well, we do, and we turn it on if we're home in the afternoon when it gets really hot. Our house is old though, and it cools things down kind of unevenly. We could probably depend on it more. Usually we try to escape the heat by going to cooler places--by the water. But it was barely cooler there...
Ben always resists cranking the AC up. I should just go for it. *nods*
yes, you should, especially if penny is uncomfortable. is this about money again? i mean, i'm sorry, but how can you put saving a few bucks over the comfort of your child?? that's ridiculous. besides, you probably spend as much money driving around to the mall and the beach as staying home and using the a/c.
*sigh* I'm honestly not sure. I mean, in the morning it's not that hot, and then we know we're headed out, and so we don't turn it on, or not for long. I'm sure part of Ben's impulse is about $, no question, but he doesn't want Miss P to be uncomfortable--and if we're staying home or I insist, then the AC goes on (like today). We don't go out in order to not stay home, though... it's nice to get out.
I hear what you're saying. (And LOL does your icon speak for you, too.) I'll be more aggressive about this in the future.
oh yes, it's a good icon, isn't it? just like this one :D
i just don't get it. you live in the southernmost tip of california and it's HOT, so a/c is not a luxury, but a necessary part of life. it's like living in northern maine and refusing to turn on the heat unless it's snowing outside. this shouldn't even be an issue.
Most of the time, it really doesn't get that hot hear until July/August. We're not used to needing the AC yet. And Ben is just weird about this stuff. This issue was so much worse with the heat, when I was sick and pregnant. Remember that? God, getting him to turn the heat on was such a headache. I'll say this, though, the windows we got were so worth it, and do help a lot. The AC has now been on for maybe an hour and a half, and it's starting to be much more comfortable in here.
*sigh* I know I have to deal with this $ thing with Ben. It really does sneak up on me sometimes, I get sort of sucked in...
