Back to the Grind
New year, new semester, and odd as it may seem, the last one. I had trouble yesterday believing as I went to my classes that this would be the last first day as an undergrad at Penn. I'm happy with how things are looking though, as every class I had over the past two days seems to be great (I think not having to deal with physucks ever, ever again contributes greatly to that). So for a brief rundown, I have social stat, which seems like it's just going to be a pain in the ass but probably kinda fun (the prof seems really nice), modern political thought with Kennedy, and she's absolutely nuts (kind of looks like Yoda, and is spiteful and rather quick with her insults, much like Yoda in V and VI). I'm happy about the fact that she's crazy though, because she seems to be a genius, and there's nothing better than a crazy genius prof (at least that's what I've found here at Penn). Same goes for my modern sociological theory prof.; he seems crazy, and I love it. I'm definitely going to be meeting with him a lot because it seems like he's got some great stories and ideas. So today I had biochem. with Schultz, whom I really can't stand. He's an arrogant prick of a prof., and I've already had him twice. I'm a little pissed I have to put up with him again, but it's only one last time and I've done well in classes he's taught, though I haven't really enjoyed it. Finally of course there's independent study lab, but that's just the same shit as last semester.
So on the whole I'm really excited for everything I'm taking. All of my classes seem really interesting, plus I have good profs, and that always helps me to get more into the subject and work that's required (which there is definitely a lot of). My Monday and Wednesday schedules suck, but Tuesday/Thursday are great, as I'm done with class at 10:30, which means I can lift, eat, and go into lab all before 1 PM. I took advantage of that today as I lifted and the gym was practically empty (which is a rarity this time of the year as everybody has their resolution which will last about a month or so). Alright, time to get in some of my joint custody time for Tony Hawk American Wasteland.
