Don finally joined in on the Fancycakes fun, so for his birthday he got a Green Lantern Battery cake! Jared designed the light unit, and I built the unfortunate cake. The recipe was Nigella Lawson's Guinness Stout chocolate cake, and was actually quite good.
The true failing was in the cake's structural integrity, as I decided to make the hemispheres hollowed as I did not know the size or shape of the lighting unit. Lesson learned!
