I'm in the market for a new computer -- a laptop to be precise.
I'm doing my homework and I've got it narrowed down to a few. I know I want at least 80 gigs hard drive and 512 ram but i'm down to the question that I can't seem to answer:
Centrino or Celeron?
Centrino runs about $300 more and the question is, is that worth it on my single student living on her own budget? The sales guys said it would make an incredible difference. the annoying one talking to me said the celeron is like a 'v2' engine and the centrino is like a 'v4 or v6' (and he says i need at least a v6.) A good friend of mine who goes to a well renouned computer school says it won't make enough of a difference for me to spring for the faster processor considering all i'll run for the most part is word, internet explorer, AIM, and maybe powerpointe at one time....
Pretty please put in your two cents (or more). I'll more than likely be making this purchase within the next few days.
