Hello, Charlotte!
My six-month rotation in Tampa has finally come to a close. I'm back in Charlotte. Hallelujah.
There were a few cool people in Tampa... I'll miss Brad, and Brian. And a few folks from work. But man, I adore Charlotte. I love that there's a Subway sandwich shop two floors below me. I love that there's a dry cleaners about 1/10 of a mile away. I love being less than a mile's walk from the majority of the office buildings I might ever need to work in or visit. I love having cool neighbors to hang out with at home, watch TV with, go out to bars with, go to dinner with, and ESPECIALLY go to the required Sunday brunch with.
I love feeling like I'm home.
And man, I've gotten a lot of things done to the loft. Finally unpacked all those boxes of books. Still haven't acquired The Perfect Bookshelves yet, but the books actually look pretty good stacked up on the floor against the brick. Brought up the liquor collection and unpacked it. Bought a fancy set of shelves to store it on in the kitchen. Purchased and framed my NYC print (it's GORGEOUS) and brought my diplomas up to put up on the walls. It's coming together.
