Rain is falling outside my window. I like it. It's a sure sign that this entry will contain some substance for once. Things have been going great up here.
Everything up in Gainesville is going really well. I'm really surprised at the ease of transition I've had to school so far. I'll credit my smooth talking skills. Nah. Really, its amazing how the things that seemed to matter so much in high school have just disappeared from a friends perspective. I mean that in a totally good way too. Example 1: Saturday night some Winter Springs kids were up at UF (some down from FSU as well) and we decided to go out to dinner. Pointed out several times, the group was composed of several different cliques from high school. It was interesting to see how easily we interacted, when 2 months ago none of us (for the most part) would have ever been out to eat like that. Time changes things. That brings me to my next point....

Getting away from normal routines can be so refreshing sometimes. Next time you are sitting at your computer surfing the same 3 pages in a repeated order, unplug your internet, turn off your cell phone and find a good spot to just think. THINKING - its my favorite new exercise. With all distractions aside minus the occassional person passing by me, I've been able to think so much more clearly on pretty much everything. And oh yeah, only you can prevent forest fires. (Thanks smokey)
