General News
1) I got into Order of Omega, the new all-greek honor society. I was one of four from DZ who got in so I'm pretty excited. A little nervous since I'm shy and none of the other DZ's are my close friends, but hopefully I'll like the other members!
2) Got a random call from a woman at Bed, Bath and Beyond today saying I should call her before I graduate and schedule an interview to work there. Kind of cool, but also strange considering I sent her a thank you note over a month ago and she just called me today to say she received it. I guess I made a good impression if she's calling to tell me she's interested in interviewing me eventually.
3) Still haven't heard back from the Black and Decker people about whether or not I made it to Round 3 Interviews. They didn't actually specify when they'd tell people so I'm not worried about it yet. In all honesty, I won't care much whether or not I get it, because I absolutely do not want to work there. It would be a nice, free trip to the northeast though (I think Maryland).
4) The spring career showcase is at the end of January so I've got to start looking at the companies coming and getting research done before winter break. I know I won't want to think about it while I'm vacationing in Disney AND NEW YORK! Ahhhh.
5) Speaking of New York, I depart in exactly 38 days -- just a little over a month. I am so excited to see the city and see all of my friends. I just hope I don't freeze to death.
6) I'm going home tomorrow through Sunday to spend time with my mom for the long weekend. She's gone through some rough times lately what with the hurricane damage and know her skin-cancer removing surgery. I spoke to her tonight and she said she was in a lot of pain. I'm probably going to have to nurse her a lot this weekend, but I'd do anything for a few quiet, relaxing days at my own house in my own big, comfy bed.
7) 4 weeks left of my LAST FALL SEMESTER EVER! (well, until business/law school, whenever I decide what I'm doing with my life)
