So tonight was Open House, which meant I was at work from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm with approx. 2 hrs off. At least tomorrow is jeans day (read: I don't have to iron anything.) I enjoyed meeting the parents, talking about Latin, convincing the parents that their students should take three years of Latin even though the district only requires two. I even plotted with some parents of my only Latin three student who is not a senior to have him take the AP. All in all, a successful evening.
The major victory is that I was the most popular teacher of all language teachers. There was standing room only in each of my sessions, I also practiced talking like an auctioneer. Some fun. Time for sleep now. Good night.
