*sigh*
As excited as I am about the move, I have to say, I am SUPER sad about missing all the awesome stuff that is going on right now.
This month there's ComicCon in San Diego! The list of awesome people who are going to be there this year just keeps growing and growing!! Sean and Rocco are going to be there! Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will be there to promote Paul and Edgar Wright will be there for Scott Pilgrim. If there were ever a year I wanted to go, this is it!! And yeah, I would probably die and go to FanGirl Heaven right after meeting all my favorite boys but it would be worth it!!
And then there's Monster Mania in NJ. This is the one I'm most sad about. Comic Con has always been a sort of "pipe-dream" because it's SO huge and so expensive but then along came MM.
Sean!!! Norman!!! Rocco!!! Boondock Betties!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
I was SOOOOOOOO close to getting to go to! TheBF had ACTUALLY AGREED on it and I was researching hotels and plane tickets but then we found the house.
So while I'm excited to finally have a HOUSE there's also this undercurrent of melancholy. TheBF keeps trying to cheer me up by saying things like, "I'm sure they'll (the Boondock boys) do another convention again soon and hey, maybe it'll be here in our city!" or "We can always try to make Comic Con next year!". I have to give him points for trying. He likes to give me shite for being such a FanGirl and so it's sweet that he's trying to cheer me up.
I'll get over it, I know, and really it's helped to have written this entry.
Maybe now I'll stop thinking about it so much - hehehe!
