So I found out today that I am getting a $3,500 bonus at the end of this month as my bi-annual performance based bonuses. Sweet! It's my first since coming over to this position. I was warned, though, that apparently this is high and not to expect it every time. I guess they had some extra money delegated to bonuses for this period, so everyone got more than they normally would...
We didn't have these bi-annual bonuses with my old job. You got your discretionary year end bonus and that was it. Apparently, we get the year end discretionary bonus as well as the two bi-annual ones and the company-wide one in February. Nice! Conceivably, I can walk away with an extra $8-10k above and beyond my base salary this year. Not bad considering my job is a piece of cake and I don't work very hard...
